Welcome to AHIKS Avalon Hill International Kriegspiel Society
AHIKS is an organization of war gamers looking to play their games by mail, email and other forms of correspondence. AHIKS has been in existence since 1965, over 40 years of finding top notch competitors for members favorite games where they can't find local opponents. The organization's officers volunteer their time to assist the other members in this effort. If you are one of the many war gaming enthusiast who are looking to find real opponents for those games you have had to solitaire, then contact any of the officers listed in the linked pages under Staff or Regional Directors. AHIKS is an international nonprofit society of mature adults both Female and Male. AHIKS is not associated with the once well known war gaming company Avalon Hill, in Maryland, USA nor is AHIKS affiliated with any other game company or publisher. AHIKS has two public forums. The Yahoo group folder has been in existence since 2005. There is a new public forum being used for general discussion as well.

All Volumes since 38 No. 5 to the current 44 No. 2 are available on the secure page. If you wish to be added to this list, contact the editor. Seven editions of our quarterly European Newsletter, the Despatch, are also available from the secure page. Issue 9-3, 9-4, 10-1, 10-3, 10-4, 11-4 and 12-1. Dues for 2009 are are again $0 if you sign up to for the 'K' on-line and are not mailed a printed copy. If you still want a printed copy sent from AHIKS the one year cost is $9 after January 31, 2009. Send a check to the Secretary, Bob Best. His address can be found on the "Central Staff Officers" link to the left. If you have changed your USPS or e-mail address recently, notify Bob Best and Omar DeWitt. Remember that the password to access the secure page and the most recent 'K' changes each issue and Omar needs your current e-mail address to notify you of the new password.
